Are you ready for Fall?
As seasons change and outdoor temperatures drop, the air inside your home loses moisture. Forced-air furnaces dry the indoor air as well. Stay comfortable and combat the dryness by remembering to turn on your humidifier along with your furnace. Remember to change your humidifier vapor pad at the beginning of the heating season as well.
McQuade Heating and Cooling, Plumbing and Refrigeration recommends a humidity setting of 35% to 40% to maintain indoor comfort. When you schedule your fall maintenance appointment, our Service Technicians can adjust your humidifier setting, and change your humidifier vapor pad, during your scheduled humidifier maintenance appointment. Regular humidifier maintenance is important to prevent harmful mold and bacteria growth, protect your respiratory health, and keep your humidifier running efficiently.
(Please remember to turn your humidifier off when using your air conditioner in the summer months.)
