About McQuade

McQuade Plumbing opened for business in 1970 as a single-man operation. A family man with five young children and a wife, Arthur McQuade supported his family with his home-based plumbing business. Karen McQuade, his wife and "office manager" answered the phone, scheduled his appointments and helped with managerial duties. As their children grew, the boys joined their dad on some of his jobs and learned the plumbing trade.

Brian McQuade, Art's youngest son, added the heating, cooling and refrigeration portion of the business in 1984 after he graduated from college and was certified. Father and son together formed the new business and the first office space was leased, just north of 21 Mile on Van Dyke in Utica. McQuade Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Refrigeration resided in that location for sixteen years. In October 2001 the business relocated to a larger, more efficient space at 23 Mile and Schoenherr in Shelby Township. Nine years later, we purchased our current building on the corner of Phoenix Drive and 19 1/2 Mile Rd., giving us a central location to our customer base.

McQuade Heating and Cooling, Plumbing and Refrigeration remains a family-owned and operated Christian based business. Working alongside our dedicated staff in the office you will find Brian and Vicki McQuade.
